Thinking about the poem:

Q. 1 What are the various things of beauty the speaker has seen?

Ans: The poet has seen the beautiful sights of sunrise and sunset, beautiful daffodils, lovely grass and strange lands from his ships in the sea.

Q.2 What are the loveliest of all these things God has shown to the poet?

Ans: The loveliest things God has shown to the poet are his beloved voice, her hair, her eyes and the dear red curve of her lips.

Q. 3 To whom do the words in the last line refered. 

Ans: They refer to the poet's beloved.

Q. 4  Why does the poet compare dawn and sunset to slow old tunes?

Ans: It is because the comming of dawn and sunset is very soft and soothing like slow old tunes.

Q .5 How does God's creation appear to the poet?

Ans: God's creation appears to the poet in many different forms, but the loveliest of all is his beloved


Q.7  What does the mean by the song of the blossoms? What does it symbolize?

Ans: The song of the blossoms is the soft rustling music of the blossoms when the air blows through them.


Q. 8  What is the contrast between the last line and the rest of the poem/ what does it suggest?

Ans: The rest of the poet lists some beautiful creations of god while as the last his lines are in phrase of poet's beloved. It suggests that the poet's beloved is most beautiful among the world things,

Central Idea/Summary of the poem:

 The poem, "Beauty". composed by John Edward Masefield, is based upon the theme that there is nothing beautiful for a true lover than his beloved. The poet has seen the beautiful sights of sunrise and sunset; he has watched the beauty of blossoms and sea. He has seen strange lands. But the loveliest thing that God has grass. He has enjoyed the loft showers of rain and has he lovely ever shown him is his beloved. The poet means to say that God has not created any thing as beautiful as his beloved.
