Q.1.  Why did a certain party of Romans wish to kill Julius Caesar?   

Ans:- A few Romans were terrified of Ceaser's rising stature. They believed 

he was overly eager to seize total authority. It was then agreed to murder him. 


Q.2. Why did Calpurnia beg Caesar not to go to the Capitol?  

Ans:- Ceaser's wife, Calpurnia, had a terrifying dream in which she saw that blood.

was oozing from Caesar's statue and that Roman citizens had come to wash

their hands in it while grinning. So she implored Ceaser to stay away from the capital.

 

 

Q.3. What two reasons did Anthony give to show that Caesar was not ambitious?  

Ans:- a. He was always so full of love and sympathy for them.  

         b. Ceaser had turned down Anthony's three offers of the kingly crown. 


Q.4. Why did Brutus decide to march from Sardis to Philippi?  

Ans:- It was a mistake for Brutus to march from Sardis to Philippi since Octavius

and Mark Anthony had the benefit of a well-positioned defensive and a well-rested army.


Q.5. Why has Brutus been called ‘the noblest Roman of them all’? 

 Ans:-Brutus had only sincere intentions for the sake of the populace when he had planned

against Caesar. His only envy of Caesar was his unwavering desire. He is referred

as "The Noblest Roman" as a result.

Read the following sentence:

But we cannot say: ‘meals will be served outside on the

terrace, weather allowing because permitting collocates

with weather and allowing does not.

Let’s Write

“Greed is a curse.” Substantiate this statement in the

light of the lesson. 

Ans.The proverb "greed is a curse" is well recognised. On Earth, greed has

caused several tragedies. Greed makes even other members into foes. Ceaser

was killed because his closest associates were driven by a desire for power. 

Cassius poisoned Brutu's mind against Ceaser because he did not want him.

to become the king of Rome. Caesar died as a result of his ambitions.

After brutus and the other senators fatally stabbed Ceaser, Mark Anthony killed them.
