Q. 1. Where does the speaker walk?

Ans:-He walks down the long school corridor.


Q. 2. What 'view' does he get from the window of the classroom ? Is it dull or your answer. of enjoyable ? Pick out words in support of your answer 


Ans. He sees hundreds of books with their picture jackets. The view is enjoyable. The speaker calls it colourful and bright'.


Q. 3. Why does the family cower in a cave ?

Ans. Because they see their men fighting a fearful tiger.


Q .4. Why is the playground deserted ?

Ans .Because all the children are as yet in their classrooms.

Q. 5. Name the things which the speaker sees in stanza 3.

Ans. He sees the deserted playground. He sees the November sky, rows of homes and beyond these the chimney of a closed-down factory.


Q .6 Why is the speaker willing to take register or messages to the office and the classrooms?


Ans:- Because he can then look at the hundreds of books with their colourful picture jackets.


Q. 7. Who is 'T' in this poem?


Ans. I think he is a student studying in the school.
